Bootcamp vs. Buttcamp

This morning was lower body bootcamp with Karrie & company . . . felt a little more like buttcamp to me. I’m feeling pretty good right now, but we’ll see how I feel tomorrow.

I’m excited about joining a local running group called the Flower Mound Striders. They are starting a speed workout on Wednesdays and have a group that meets on Saturday mornings for a distance run. I seriously need some speedwork, I’m unworthy of my cheetahs right now. I think I’ll change my banner until I’m faster.

I need buttcamp! Be careful w/the speed workouts before a marathon. That’s how I hurt my quad. I’m now of the belief though that more miles will make you faster. My vote is to keep the cheetahs. You’re a cheetah to the tortoises out there.

I’ve been amazed and impressed lately with your morning runs, because it’s COLD here! Only the serious runners like you are out there now!

You’re a cheetah to me! It’s all relative, right? But I do like the rose petals. :)

I’m trying to do a self-imposed butt/ab camp here… but I think I need a drill instructor. I already forgot on the second night. LOL!

I like the petals as well. What I don’t like is that you left us!

ooooh – buttwork. Whenever I do a buns workout, lunges especially, I always feel it in my hams and glutes. Have fun with your running group! It is nice to have a group of people that you can get together and run with. Somehow it makes me feel more guilty about bagging on a run if I know other people are waiting on me.

Love the new header! Running groups are great if they are big enough – particularly for the long runs!!

If your lower body/butt doesn’t hurt tomorrow you probably didn’t get all you could out of it.

Flower Mound Striders. I’d be curious how thye came up with THAT name.

I like the roses better than the cheetahs. I wondered what happened to the red hottie Susan banner. Did the milf encounter change your self image?

Aaaah…so that was the reason for the banner change. Very nice!

“How do you get your excercise done at lunch? I may try that, although we don’t have a shower at work.”

Usually I go to the gym at lunchtime, which is an 8 minute walk from work.

Sometimes I take part in an organised 6km (approx 3.7mile) lunchtime run, or do my own run of about 10km (6.2mile)
