More time to comment on blogs. It was a busy week and an even busier weekend. I haven’t had a chance to comment or even blog much. I’ve failed as a blogging whore, but I promise to be prostitution level, Amsterdam Red-Light district comment whore soon (despite baseball season).
More days like Saturday. It was a big day for my Roo. She won a gold medal at the regional Dyslexia Spelling Bee, a monumental achievement for my diligent girl who continuously struggles with spelling and reading. And even better, immediately following the bee she scored the one and only goal during her soccer game, an equally monumental achievement considering she has my coordination. Finished off the day with a wonderful dinner with my family – My lovely Michael happens to be a gourmet chef (hence my 34.6% body fat).
Less days like Sunday: I was, and am, exhausted from the previous week of V02 training hell. Naturally, it was also the start of CMS (Continual Menstrual Syndrome). I had a miserable mid-afternoon run, being slow, crampy, starved and dehydrated. I hate afternoon runs, and this was a very demanding 8.25 miles; I crashed big time. That was a lesson I needed to learn – more serious running is ahead of me.
If only all races started at 5AM…the world would be a better place.
