Ending Vacation – Quick Entry

in Training Runs

Today is my last day of vacation – it’s been a productive week – in some respects. The weather was absolutly beautiful Monday through Friday – followed by a deluge of thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday – which interfered with my long run. However, I did manage:

  • 30 hours of yard work/gardening (loved every minute but my lower back is hating me right now)
  • 3 hours of strength training
  • 14 miles (5 short for this week)
  • 3 hours of shopping with 4 new pairs of shoes, one purse and one pair of silk capris purchased (well behaved – no $300 satin pants)
  • 1 steamy Michael date night complete with cheese, red wine and numerous martinis
  • 2 Obgyn appts attended
  • 1 Orthodontist appt with Kenza
  • 1 soccer game attended

Much more to report later this week . . . hope everyone is running well. I’ve missed you guys and look forward to catching up on your running this week.

Sounds like a very productive week. I am so jealous of the shoes; I have looked and looked and can’t find anything. And steamy dates? The best!

As you have a chance post photos of your garden, should be lovely.

You should have done 30 hours of running and 14 miles worth of yard work Susan ;)

woman… ARE YOU DRY?!?!?
i just saw photos from DMN online and …. daaaaaang! time to try out your breast stroke (we know michael knows his) in east dallas. i hope you and yours aren’t too flooded. we just had cyclone larry. sorry, but cyclones/hurricanes shouldn’t be named after 3′s Company characters. it’s just wrong.
keep your shoes dry!

Sounds like you had a really good time. But why on earth do you need 4 pairs of shoes? Do you wear a different pair every day or what???

No, I don’t expect an answer to that. Niamh doesn’t tell me either ;-)

I like how you put “1 Orthodontist appt WITH KENZA”. As if to say “it’s not my teeth that need fixing”.

Glad you had a nice productive week. Time off is always good.

OBGYN on birthday…blah. I had my pelvic exam on valentines day! Nothing like a pelvic exam to put a girl in the mood! My poor husband no valentine day for him.

What kind of vacation is doing 30 hr of gardening and yard work? :)

30 hr of swimming, biking and running…now that sounds more like a vacation :D

Thanks for keeping us in the loop Susan and leaving the steamy date night with Michael where you left it.

Tell us about the “OB Gym” that’s a workout I’m unfamiliar with.

Great vacation – I need a vacation but one where you sit on a beach and read a book and drink oina coladas!

Sorry I’ve not been ’round for a while!

sounds like you need a vacation from the vacation. good job on resisting the evil temptation of $300 pants. good gracious. i wonder what my husband would do if i came home with a receipt for those? that’s like my entire year’s wardrobe budget! (no point in buying anything but old navy shirts when they can still puke on you…)

now you have to post pictures of your yard. 30 hours of gardening! good gravy!

Not much “down” time for a vacation…! :-)
Sounds like a typical work week…but glad you were doing what you love.
