It seems like 13 miles of hill training, leg weight day and 02 training have finally caught up with me this week. My ITB is achy and so is my right hip, but mostly the inside of my ankles. I think it’s time for new orthodics and another pair of shoes to rotate into. I ran this morning’s AT workout like a zombie, a slow zombie. 5 miles – 55 min.
Speaking of tired zombies – Kenza had a soccer game last night and was goalie . . . and she stood there like a zombie – not the ususal go getter that I’m used to seeing . . . oh well, she didn’t seem to mind that the opposing team scored 4 goals on her. Later in the game she got her act together – for about 5 minutes – I think we both just needed some quality knollie zombie time together.
Glad you enjoyed your run so much. I can see your ready for another one real soon!
Adorable pic of you and your daughter! I loved it.
The sHArMa says: “Let the body recover. Not everyone goes to hell with Satan and back each day.”
Agree with Kurt – nice pic!
Now that is one cute picture! She’s like a “Mini-Me!” 🙂
That is a beautiful picture of you two! (at least you aren’t licking her too…)
No wonder you are too tired to title; you have had a rough week of workouts. Good job!!
Beautiful picture of you and Kenza.
That’s a great pic..doesn’t look like zomebies to me.
Great pic of you and Kenza! At least she had fun and was smiling.
I also agree. What a couple of obviously related cuties.
Well, you could run a 55 min 5 mile, or you could be fat and watching soap operas. And how profound is that?
what an awesome photo!
man you must be the best looking soccer mom out there!
Great picture of you two!
Great picture.
I was going to suggest a title for your post … then I thought about it ….. your title is so appropriate.
I love the new header! Beautiful photo!
Hey Susan,
What is o2 training? I agree with what everybody said. That picture could be in a magazine about cute families.
SD
What a great picture of the two of you. Love it!
Beautiful! It does sound like you need some “me” time, which includes rest and more rest.
well the good news is that she probably won’t have to play goalie again, that’s how we always got out of that rotation. That’s a cute pic, hope you got the zombie time in.
You two are too cute!
Funny to learn that you ran 5 miles today too cuz I did also, like you said, it wasn’t one of my best either.
You two are lookin gorgeous!
I miss coaching soccer… maybe next year. Kenza will have better games, it happens.
Beautiful picture, you too look so happy you should be in an ad. 😉
It’s actually quite tough being a goalie and keeping it switched on all the time. It is incredibly boring to try to follow the action when you have to keep standing in the goal box, and yet be able to go from 10% to 110% when the ball gets near. The stop/go/stop/go, “maybe it will comes near me, maybe not…” is just too much. When I was the goalie, I remember that our greatest challenge was concentration. It actually takes loads of mental strength to be a goalie and Kenza must be doing well to be chosen for that position.
Ooh .. aren’t they gorgeous! Two Lovelies.
That was a great workout, the pace was very good even with hills!!! I wish I could reach you someday!
Very nice picture. You are not going to regret the hill training later on. You are doing so awesome with your training!
oooh, i hated playing goalie. was a center half and thweepa most of the time. and i didn’t have such a flash uniform either! that’s snaaaazy!
I say take it easy on t he running this week and just pick up Kenza and walk around the Knollie Witch Project while carrying her. That’s a decent work out with luvvin! Oh, and jump on the bed, too. Also good exercise.
You totally stole my title.
let me get this straight… she was playing a position that had people kicking soccer balls at her and you expected her to act as something OTHER than the non-living? i praise her ability to stay in that box. the first ball that came flying at me would send me packing. but then again, i’m a little bitch that way.
Like everyone else has already said…that’s a great photo.
Two beauties! Great picture!
Hot soccer mommies always got my attention. Do you scream and yell encouragement all game or chat and carry on with the grown ups?
A very sweet shot. A nice reminder for me to head over to my kiddies for a hug as well. 🙂
Wow. No wonder you are tired girl. Make sure you look after yourself and your ITB. I wonder how cranky those things that can be!
What a great photo 🙂
That’s a great photo. You both look really happy – it’s sweet.
wow. i just want to say that i googled “runner blogs” and came across your page & happy i did. your running ups n’ downs make me feel like my own runs are not in vain. ive been running all my life but havent decided to take it seriously until a week ago? im self training for my first marathon using anything i can grab off the internet and your blorings are inspiring. thanks for keeping it real.
In Kenza’s defence, goalie is kinda boring. Mad props to you for running even when you felt tired.
Awwh that picture is so sweet!
that’s a GREAT photo!
The evening light is beautiful.
Have you seen that zombie movie ‘Susan of the Dead’?
She is so cute!! Great job on the 13 miles!
TGIF!
Nice pix…makes me long for the days when my daughter was that age…all hugs and smiles! (We still hug alot tho!)
Good for you for getting in that distance…get one of the foam rollers from CorePerformance.com. It has worked wonders on my ITB and leg soreness and has permitted me to continue running after I work out the kinks!
Love the new (AGAIN?) header!
i’m thinking you need a post called, “to titillating to tire.”
If you’re doing the Big D 1/2 this weekend – good luck!
I am tired too, you don’t look tired in that picture though, you both look beautiful!
