Celebration of unemployment

in One Martini Too Many,Training Runs

I’m officially unemployed. I officially celebrated too much last night.* I went out for a six mile run this morning – came back 4 miles later. 11:15 min/mile pace and I Gallowayed through it . . . oiyyyy.

Tomorrow night I am meeting up with fellow RBFers Leah and Jason for an 11 mile run out at White Rock Lake. I’m really looking forward to meeting them, it will be my first RBF meet-up so I’ll be sure and take my camera.

Tomorrow morning I will post my official running skirt report!

*True to my words, no martinis were harmed in this celebration.

You Gallowayed through it? Is that a sly way of saying that you walked?? (wink)

Welcome to unemployment!! I love it. Why I’m going back to school so I can actually get another job?? I don’t know, I should have my head checked.

Good luck on your run.

Very impressive that you managed to celebrate so successfully without the aid of martinis. I think you should be extremely proud.

Unemployed… *mind wanders back in time*… the good old days. Ah yes, I remember it well. Enjoy, Susan, enjoy. I’m totally envious.

11:15 with walking? Sounds pretty speedy to me:) Have fun at the meetup–and we do need pics.

Answering your ? here: I went from Asics 2110s to Brooks Equalizers (I think that’s the model.) I originally bought a pair of Brooks Trance 5 – of course they felt good at the store and I wore them in the STL 1/2 marathon and they were all wrong.

If you are happy with the unemployment then enjoy it and congratulations. If not, then get out and hit the streets. I mean in order to find another job.

“No martinis were harmed in this celebration.” Does that mean you didn’t chew the olives and swallowed them whole?

Unemployed…. is that good? I would prefer the retirement. A secret: I’m waiting for it, perhaps in 4 years

Unemployed? We’re looking for a Recess Director… I am completely jealous of your skirts. You can’t get them here in Canada. Bastards.

21 Jennifer P April 22, 2006 at 7:42 pm

Maybe it’s because we don’t shave our legs up here…

22 Yvonne April 22, 2006 at 10:24 pm

darn – I thought for a moment you were talking about kilts =) Why for the unemployment???

23 iHateToast April 23, 2006 at 4:18 am

was the skirt the cause of unemployment? have you decided that poles needed to be in the work place?

i’m sure they’ll send to canada as they’re shipping to australia…. i think they are. they said they are… usps click here to watch the parcel cyber-ly said they are…

white rock… aaaah… i miss it. i remember running by a catfish carcass that was the size of a lab. nothing says “breathe hard” like decomposition! enjoy the ducklings and have a biscuit at barbec’s!… or matt’s (have a Bob on me).
