They may not be winning many (any) games this year, but this soccer season is turning out to be the best ever. It’s only taken four years but the girls have finally learned to do soccer stuff and not spend all their time being supermodels or doing cartwheels. Although if you ask me, I think it takes a lot of talent to do gymnastics while playing soccer (I don’t understand why the coach doesn’t get that.) And when the new mascot isn’t busy being a beaver or a goat, he makes a great assistant coach!

Lovely pictures! Is that Donkey doing a header???
Oh yes, how many chances have you had to do that “Gooooooooooooooal” shriek?
Soccer is my favorite. Someday, the girls wake up and say, “Wow! We can play real soccer!” Then it just gets better from there.
that’s great everyone is having fun and improving even if the wins aren’t plentiful.
Look at the hang time that mascot gets. Cute photos. I miss watching my daughter’s soccer games!
Are you a photograher, too??? Damn, the talent just keeps on coming…
Wow, that dog can jump!
Susan,
What an adorable photo of K with Donkey! I just love that Donkey!
Love that “Go Kenza” printed on the thing that wrap around Donkey…sorry mind is not thinking..it’s friday and i want to go home…
i love watching kids play soccer. especially when they’re not quite focused. the twirling, the swinging of arms. the goalie sitting on the dirt if the ball is on the other side.
then there are the orange section smiles.
i used to play on the piranhas. still can’t spell it if i’m not chanting it like i’m doing jumping jacks.
so what is the name of this team that is sending kenza to the world cup in 16 years. and hey, laura bush said some schitt about u.s. not knowing soccer because the boys didn’t do well. mia phukkin hamm, you dumb cow! if it’s a sport the women are strong in, it doesn’t count for her, i guess. i’m kidnapping kenza and having her kick a ball into the white house. … after i figure out which room is this first lady’s favourite with all her fragile trinkets. i’ll give her (kenza) back, i promise.
and hey, love your new girly side. do your mastheads match a mood or are they random?
Awwwwww….cute pics! I love the new header too.
does she ever look like her mom!
You mean, you’re NOT supposed to do cartwheels while playing soccer? Who invented those rules? I certainly never played by them.
You need the mascot on the team!
Learning skills is exciting. Good on you Kenza.
Who bothers keeping score anymore? It’s all about the after-game snacks!
Rich has the insight. You’re not scoring if the snacks aren’t right.
So you grew up to be a soccer mom. Is that where you find all the alpha moms?
Donkey is such an athlete. Who knew?
I was thinking about this post and the one by DGC. Sport is sometimes about the score or the time and other times it is not. I like that it can be taking healthy choices, having fun and doing it regardless of the scoreboard or clock. But don’t get me wrong that there are no results, cause I’d rather have a smile on my face than a medal around my neck.
I thought soccer was all about nice outfits not scores! Anyway, I ditto you thought on a marathon – no point in running one just for the sake of running one…maybe that’e me rationalizing laziness though!
She just keeps getting more adorable! Love her pigtails.
OMG those look like a great scrapbook page. Beautiful pics!
