So we weren’t out very long. But long enough for me to hit the local running store and find this Brooks shirt with instant mittens built right in. How cute is that! And they are reflective – which made this a life or death purchase.
Well you definitely got the brand right. I am a big brooks fan, but I am not sure about the built in mittens. I don’t think it sounds like a manly purchase. I need something I can discuss with the guys. You know what I’m sayin? Oh wait, I run with mostly women.
Very cool Susan! Isn’t it great how we can rationalize any purchase? I can see you there thinking..well they are reflective…I’ll be safer out there…must buy now! 😉
oh how embarrassing. i was going to make some snot comment and was cruising the comments to make sure i wouldn’t be redundant… and who mentioned snot first? yeah. my husband.
that’snot funny.
Susan,
Although the mittens are sweet…I think that that face is the sweetest I have seen. You are going to need those mitties this morning! See you at the gym for turbo weights.
Buy some mittens for the donkey, if it doesn’t stop his backyard projects it will at least slow them down. Added benefit to doggy boots: you can take them off in the mud room leaving only clean fresh paws to run on hardwood floors.
What a great idea – link every purchase to personal safety. Thanks
Btw your race photo link doesn’t show any photos…
Nice, but how do you change songs on your Nano and hold your latte?
Hey built in mittens – kewl!
Love those! I had to wear gloves when I running yesterday in the middle of a sunny day. Where did the California moved to go????!!
That is a brilliant idea. And oh so cute.
Do you actually need mittens in Texas?
Not good for wiping snot …. obviously we are seeing things a little differently on this subject.
Great life or death purchase Susan!

Love it! I’ve got a similar Brooks one…it’s definitely a must have.
Great idea, but how will I turn Garmy on and off? Swap you some kittens for your mittens.

Very cool – I love my running hoodie with the thumbholes, but my shirt ain’t got nothin’ on your new mitten-shirt!
Very cool! I think I could use that today…brrrr!
“Turbo weights”? Sounds hurtful…
I would be curious to know if they actually work the way you intend them. Seems like a good idea but do you get overally warm in them?
cute mittens…
my kingdom for a woman who can press 270…
Susan,
Just wanna say a great design on D’s blog.
Very Cool Gear!
A running purchase, like a martini or new purse, is never a bad purchase.
Love those!!
LOVE!
Sadly, I am on a self-imposed spending diet through the month of January.
Happily, (sort of) those are the sort of thing that will still be useful to me well into April up here in Da Nortwoods.
I LOVE THOSE, I just spent my last paycheck on a new warm shirt and no freakin’ built in mittens, I am pissed!
yeah, like it is totally cool. i must too find some mittens to be smitten with! later.
LOVE teh Brooks shirt with mittens!!!!
Love the Brooks stuff. I have one the same color, but w/o mittens.

I want those.
This is the runner in me talking, and not the guy … that looks awesome. I wish i had a runner shirt/jacket with built-in mittens!
