There’s been running.

in Training Runs

And today, I ran twice – albeit with two 3-mile runs, but it’s a better than none. And six is a good number. And technically, the second run today was more off a walk because towards the end of the run I could feel my toenails scraping against the insides of my shoes. I guess that means it’s pedicure time.

The best part of the run today though was the sun. Running in the sun with my smitten mittens on. JOY! I haven’t seen the sun shine in about a week – So I’ve decided to command/force summer to arrive quickly. We’ll see how that goes.

I need sun to be happy. That’s why I live in Texas. Also, I know it’s bad, but I want just an itty-bitty bit of tan. A small tan doesn’t conflict with my New Year’s resolution of wearing more sunscreen. Right? It’s so easy to get too much sun in Texas, and at my age I’m starting to see the effects of past heliotherapy.

I should to do another video entry, but since I’m not cleansing I have no clue what to video. Any ideas?

Nice job on your two-a-day workout! I am impressed! I am jealous of your sun….it’s been kind of gloomy here today with a few flurries. But, on a good day, the sun is shining and glaring off mounds of snow all around us!

I, too, am a sun goddess. Just ask Thin Trade David. And now my skin is finally showing the damage. But oh how I miss the sun and a teeny tan.
Good runnin’ …keep it up!!

I *heart* the sun, too. Alas, I live in MI, so there’s not a lot of it this time of year. Good thing I don’t suffer from seasonal affective disorder (yet).

As for the video entry, just video anything. They are entertaining. :)

six is a triangular number. yes, it’s a good number. and in german it’s sechs and fun to say anyway.

you have to do another video. don’t stress out about having to go with a continuous theme. i say review many running skirts and then parade jauntily around in them.

or even a trick played on kenza. c’mon… sneak up and scare the dickens out of her. i could just see her qualifying for the u.s. high jump team.

Two runs in one day is primo in my book! Is there an 800 number we can call to tell you what to do on the video? LOL. I know that one has the potential to be ugly, but I thought you would get a kick out of it. You can brand me with a hot iron if you like :-)

My vote is you tape yourself smacking the people at weight watchers.

You should video yourself modeling your new running clothes. I for one would like to be able to evaluate Smitten Mittens on a live model prior to purchasing. Bonus points if the model has had a few martinis.

Congrats on your 2 runs – that is outstanding. And yes! to sun. We had sun this weekend – sun and warm. It was wondeful.

I think you should interview Rowdy and ask him how he feels about having a Doney in the house. Kenza can interpret.

Yay! You’re doing the Indy Mini!

I can meet the infamous Runner Susan! :) Yahoooo!

Susan, I see that you are doing the Indy Mini. I know that my friend and fellow blogger, Josh, is doing it too. I won’t be there myself. :(

Loved the sun today! C’mon summer!

I know what you mean about the sun. There has been a serious lack of it here as of late. No es bueno.

Run 6 miles for two more days. You can talk about the “6,6,6″ workout.

I want to see you dance.

You go on the 2 workouts! As for the sun, I need it and love it, but I am so not ready for the TX summer yet. BTW, I also love a little tan…but I am not liking the little lines I’m seeing after years of sun worship. This year, I think I’m going to try mystic tan. :-)

We’ll lend you a chink of our summer.

I don’t know… it’s pretty hard to top Donkey eating toast.
