My God! . . . what have I done?!

Tomorrow we leave for Indiana for spring break. Kenza has informed me that she has packed her own suitcase and that I did not need to re-check her packing (she knows me so well). Shamefully, the suspense overwhelms me and I open to find: 5 pairs of underwear, 3 stuffed animals, a nintendo gameboy, an iPod shuffle, iPod shuffle charger, 10 DVDs and a portable DVD player, 2 pairs of earbuds, a dog sweater, a bikini and a pair of boots.

At least she didn’t forget the underwear.

She has boots and a bikini. What else does she need??

4 bold March 14, 2007 at 7:39 pm

what’s the problem?

5 a.maria March 14, 2007 at 8:03 pm

wow. 5 pairs of underwear, some music, a bikini and some boots?! she’s either workin’ the corners for some extra cash or seriously needs to learn about the “packing list”.

that’s awesome.

i wish you’d have left it. i’d have loved the story of you, at wherever you’ll be for spring break, finding out your daughter’s got nothing more to wear than the above listed items, 30 minutes before you head out for dinner on the first night.

that. would have beeen. awesome.
:)

And you may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house? (mom’s home)
And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go? (70? to indy)
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? …am I wrong? (yes)
And you may tell yourself
My god!…what have I done?

just let the days go by, let the water hold you down. (of course the water in indy right now is a bit nippy, she’ll learn).

enjoy the kenza moments.

that’s precious! she’s all set. i like kate comment.

I suppose she could wear the dog sweater for 5 days and she has plenty of clean underwear. What more does she need? Plenty of entertainment and if there happens to be a warm pool, she’s all set!! LOL. Precious…

Suz,
Kenza is absolutely her mother’s daughter!

12 Curly Su March 15, 2007 at 7:30 am

perfect! you think MAYBE she was just testing you to see if you’d check her suitcase??

13 Flatman March 15, 2007 at 8:15 am

Sounds like she’s got all her bases covered…

14 Wylee March 15, 2007 at 8:34 am

She obviously planning on doing a little clothes shopping with her Mum. Smart kid, smart I tell you.

15 Elizabeth March 15, 2007 at 9:23 am

I think Wylee may have it. Smart kid. She’s coming home with a whole new wardrobe!

16 miss petite america March 15, 2007 at 10:41 am

that is HILARIOUS!

17 fe-lady March 15, 2007 at 11:27 am

My question is…who goes to Indiana for spring break? Maybe your daughter knows you will be taking her to the mall! Duh, mom! :-)

18 Linda March 15, 2007 at 1:12 pm

Sounds like she has YOU covered.

19 justjunebug March 15, 2007 at 2:08 pm

22 david March 15, 2007 at 8:32 pm

Who’s going to mind Donkey and friends while you are away????

23 Rich March 15, 2007 at 9:22 pm

I’m going to pass that list to the spouse for our next vacation.

Now I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news or anything, but I happen to be in Indiana right now, and the current temp is 30 degrees. I don’t think she’s going to need the bikini. The boots and dog sweater, might come in handy, though. I just hope it’s a donkey sweater and not a rowdy sweater so she can actually fit into it! And who comes to Indiana for spring break anyway??

25 21stCenturyMom March 16, 2007 at 12:19 pm

It’s a cry for help as in “Help Mom – I need a whole new wardrobe and if I don’t bring any clothes you’ll have to buy me one!” Smart kid.

That or she knows you can spend an unlimitied number of days playing video games in your underwear and boots.

ps – she is so going to KILL you for publishing this!!

26 Try March 16, 2007 at 12:36 pm

Bad Bad Susan.

Now you really can’t say anything to her or she’ll know you did it.

27 Ewen March 17, 2007 at 4:06 am

What, no heels? There’s surf in Indiana?
