Where are thou, Ra?

These past two months have been a little more than stressful. On top of building, selling, and packing we’ve had a lot of really just plain ridiculous rain. We are so close to finishing the house, so f-cking close. But close doesn’t pass inspection. If it would only quit raining for just a few days.

This is Texas! and I’m extremely devout in my sun-worshipping activities. I need sun. I need 100-plus degree temperatures. I need lizards, cactus and dry, cracked earth.

I know I’ve been bit pre-occupied with this moving crap lately, and it’s reflected in my posting. I can only imagine how much you’ve missed me talking about the only other thing that downpours more than this rain – my period. But hang with me, soon I’ll be running, ranting and posting again with the best of you.

I have taken the sun and hidden it in my garage. If you want to see it again you will give me $20 in small unmarked bills. Oh, and a Sid D. tile. And ummm maybe some cuttings from your garden. Get running!!!

I’ve missed the crazy pictures. Bring back the pictures!!! When you get moved, that is. We’ll be here, tapping our toes and waiting (im)patiently until you do.

Suz,
In order to satisfy your photo fans maybe I could take some pictures of you running in the rain! Now that is a great idea! I am bringing the camera tomorrow. It will of course have to be on high speed mode since we are running sprints!

I had a quick look around and it isn’t here, unless one of the dogs ate it.

Yikes. I suppose it will get hot and humid just in time for my trip out there (July 9-13). I don’t mind 90 degrees. But 90 degrees + humidity or 100+? Yikes! I miss rain. I hope it rains while I am there ;)

Come on now…I know you didn’t just curse-sensor yourself. Pfft, I’ve been away too long. I suppose you’re still dressing up that pup too?

I am going to hold you to it!

I’m kinda glad I’m not the only one thoroughly fed up with that constant rain, rain, rain, even if it’s a continent away.

I cannot stand any more rain in Dallas!!! NOT. ONE. MORE. FREAKING. DAY. I’m with ya, sistah. I’ve been in a funk all week. :-(

It’s not just the Dallas area. It’s been raining pretty good in the Wichita Falls area too. I’ve been lucky though that the area I ride and run in is not under water.

100+ degrees, dry sun-baked earth and lizards? Well- you guys needed to move to Tucson or Phoenix for that! You are in the “greenbelt” according to us REAL southwesterners! :-)
Hey, would love to see a pix of the new place! With a pair of shoes in front of it, of course!

Are you sure you want them 100-degree days? My grass has never been greener and I haven’t used my sprinker in ages. That part I like.

How about I order an earthquake to shake things up a bit? I can so relate to the moving stress. The rain? Hell no. I haven’t seen any in months. I do hope it stops for you and your new house soon.
