Last night I had the pleasure of meeting up with the Running Blog Family’s Jessica, who was in town for a few days. After she gave me a few lessons on how to properly use Carmina, my car Garmin, we settled at a nice Tex-Mex restaurant. We had a great dinner and we jumped right into conversation just like we had known each other for years. Isn’t it great that runners never get tired of talking about running! I guess that’s why we’re all bloggers too. Jessica is just as charming and beautiful as you would image she’d be – AND she drinks margaritas like a professional – how awesome is that!?! I can’t wait for her next visit.
I wasn’t sure if I’d be up for running this morning since I didn’t get home until late. And by late I mean 9:40 pm. I’m a wimp, I know it. I did, however, manage to get myself out of bed at 4:30 am, and after a cup of coffee, head out for my six-mile run. And for the first time in a really long time, I had a great run. I wasn’t fast, but I didn’t feel like I was going to die every step of the way. I actually felt like a runner again, like Runner Susan. It’s good to feel like myself again. I’ve missed me. It’s amazing how one good run can really lift your spirits. I can only hope that feeling sticks around for a while.
You are too kind 🙂 And drinking margaritas like a professional? hehe.. that’s funny!
Mmmmmmmmm, HACs!
aww, cute pic. i’m jealous, i want margaritas too!!!
nice job getting up to go run. i def’ly don’t have that kind of will power in me!
Very cool. Jess is great, huh?
Congrats on the “feeling like yourself” run!
two hotties! i see two hotties!!
nice run. later.
That’s awesome! I hate being in a slump in my running, but it’s always worth it for those runs that really make you remember why you started in the first place.
Given how both you and Jess are on the quiet side (in person only…blogland is different), I think I better crash your next margarita bash just to balance things with a real blowhard who knows how to knock ’em back too. I’m glad Runner Susan is feeling much better about running.
RBF peeps are universally cool. And those welcome back runs are too!!
Your running success is a clear indication that you haven’t been drinking enough margaritas.
nice job on the run!! do i have to get up an hour earlier to make it feel good? cuz 5:40 is killing me!
Margaritas? Nah, give me a Fat Tire any day.
You are both still standing, so it can’t have been too heavy a session – or are you leaning against each other?
Good run Susan!
So Jealous! RBF meet ups are nice. I think you should have gone for a margarita run afterwards.
i’m sorry, did you say something? i was staring at your psychedelic boobalies.
I didn’t notice that Katy. Wow!
Sounds like a great run! Mmmmm…margarita’s!
