So, this morning I ran 13 miles. In 3 hours. It was horrible, I waited too long to get out on the road, and by the time I did it was way too hot and I was way too slow. But I have a very good reason for waiting so long . . . I opened my email this morning to another house offer. We have a new contract, AND, so they say, they don’t want a pool, AND it is for $4,000 more than the previous offer. AND I love the word AND.
I’ve also taken a shower, shaved, deodorized and had a pedicure. And you know what I noticed during that pedicure, the pinky toe on my right foot has turned black. Which can only mean one thing – I’m training for a marathon.
I think you are on the way to better days.
woo hoo – only a runner would write this, but I’m envious of your black toenail. sorry I will no longer be joining you in NYC, but I’ll be cheering you all the way!
You are, possum, you are!
yes indeed black toenails are the sign of marathon training. however i wonder how i got so lucky last year without one?
and who cares how long it took? you did it and thats all that matters. its FREAKING HOT HERE IN TEXAS RIGHT NOW!!!
its so totally hawt outside. later.
Are you wishing for the cool cool cool rain yet?
Well done Susan! Nothing is too slow. You ran for 3 hours – that’s good.
Congrats on the black nail 😉
You most definitely are training for a marathon! You go girl! AND, hopefully you will get some cooler temps!
13 miles good going – I was meant to get my ass out of bed for a 13 miler on Sunday – but ended up working from 7 :-/
Going to do a stealth one by splitting it tomorrow before and after work.
Hope the toe returns to normal soon…
I hate black toenails, I have two right now and they hurt.
it means you’re 1/20th goth or emo.
so what are you going to get me with $4000? you could fly down here, chicken!
Overseas Investment Conundrum:
To buy or not to buy in Dubai.
Running for three hours in the heat is something to crow about!
Yeah for house offers!! I truly do not see how you’ve managed to build the new house. I hate contractors and think the Home Depot should be blown into bits. I don’t think we will ever be able to build a house and put up with them for extended periods of time!!!
house offer sounds great! ouch on the toe. and yikes on the heat. I can’t imagine, I’ve been a big baby this week because it was over 90 here and humidified from hell I swear.
Black toe? how does that happen?
Sales contract?! Pitcher of margueritas for everyone.
