Yesterday I was supposed to meet Massoman at 5:30 AM, but I set my alarm wrong and didn’t wake up until 7 AM. I was so mad at myself for oversleeping. There is something very satisfying about getting my runs over with before most people are even out of bed, but since I was a loser and stood up my friends again, my run began with a very deserving 80-degrees and Texan hot sun. And I had a sinus headache.
I was only 1.5 miles into my run when the tunnel vision began and the road started to tilt beneath me. I knew then that this was an all too familiar migraine, not a sinus headache. I turned around and walked home holding back vomit along the way, praying I didn’t swerve into a car. I’m dramatic like that. So my 13-mile run turned into a little over 3 miles.
This morning I felt great. The plan was to take out the trash, walk the dogs and hit the road, for 13 miles, early. I was actually excited about it, until I noticed the lighting and the pouring down rain. Now, I’m sitting here waiting for the rain to pass. And if it doesn’t, I’m going to call my MMPLG friend, Cindy, and beg to borrow her treadmill. I’ll update more on day 10 later, after it actually happens.
I thought we were going to wash away yesterday!!! Did you get your run in?
there’s nothing worse than a migraine, except running with a migraine.
