When I started stalking reading Ali’s blog in July, I was captivated by her Julyathon motivation. She said keep it up, because week 2 was better than week 1. Up until today I was starting to wonder if that was really true because all I’ve wanted to up until today was give up on Septemberathon.
My 4 miles with Massoman this morning were awesome. I ran well, felt strong and didn’t stop to walk once. I was able to focus on running and not worry about dying. What a luxury. 67-degrees this morning was also a luxury. I haven’t felt a nip in the air in so long and it was certainly welcome after so many 80+-degree mornings.
My 13-mile run yesterday was pooh-poohed by constant rain and lightening. Instead I managed 3 miles, which for me is good because I hate the rain, and also bad because I missed another long run. I hope this weekend provides me with a strong long run, I certainly need it.

For whatever stupid reason, I told myself I needed to take this week off after my race and I’m sticking to my guns. Gah!
Hope it holds for the start of my marathon training…

Keep going Susan. Week 3 is better than week 2. Looks like it worked for Ali – she ran a 4 minute PB for the half!
