After capturing the avoidance pigeon in a laundry basket, I was able to get his band information. He’s a racing pigeon from Maryland and is 12 years old. This little Piggyeon is a long way from home and a little disoriented. Anyhow, after a lot of research, I found a local pigeon racer who is coming by tonight to get him.
I’ll miss the little piggy, but I can now rest well knowing he is going to a good home. It’s almost as rewarding as the time I rescued a thousand baby kitties from a burning building and their simultaneous mews of gratitude sparked rainbows across the sky. Almost.
Suz,
I will so miss running the Tour De Fleur…sigh!
are you still doing shameless commerce?
email me please, i need some help.
She looks so much like you…Kenza, not the bird.
If I ever get a long way from home and a little disoriented, I hope I end up at your place.
Such a good samaritan! 🙂
You are so mindful of the plight of pigeons. A racer pigeon, eh? I had no idea there was such a thing!
I think it’s WONDERFUL that you saved the pigeon. More of us should be mindful of other living creatures. And good luck on the race this weekend!
Such a good Runner Susan, saving pigeons and such. Great job. 🙂
