This morning, early, I ran 6.5 with Massoman, aka – the person who doesn’t blog anymore, at a 9:54 pace. It was a good run, even if it was a little windy. I was happy with the pace, and the second half of the run was faster than the first. That makes today my official first day of training for the Austin Marathon. Only 13 weeks and 3 days left to train. And I have downhill training on my schedule.
Tomorrow we leave for Indiana for an early Thanksgiving with my family. On Saturday Sister Runner Amy and I are going to run 8 or 9 in Lafayette as part of our half marathon training. We are running the White Rock Half in Dallas on December 9th.
Now I just need to find a good long race for January and I’ll be all set.
**EDIT** I just found out that 13 is on my schedule for Saturday. We’ll just have to run more!
R&R half marathon in AZ on Jan 13
Laurie beat me to it – that’s your race, though!
You are a machine!
NYC is totally out of my comfort zone, yet I love it. I am extremely jealous of your closet. It is fu@&ing amazing.
We can run 8 together, and then I’ll drop you off five miles from the house.
Beginning of training programs are exciting–filled with hope and lots of opportunity to learn and achieve goals. Amy and I are thinking about Houston in January.
Enjoy running with your sister and the early Thanksgiving with family.
Whoaaaa… what ever happened to recovery?
I’m still recovering. ha ha. And by “recovering” i mean drinking martinis.
Are you running the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day?
Good run Susan – nice pace. Do more running at around that pace and you’ll get there.
Yes! A 4 mile warm-up and 1 mile warm-down 🙂
Richard would be so pleased.
Have fun in Indiana.
