Today Sister Runner Amy and I ran 9 miles at around a 10:40 pace. I mentally dedicated the first 5.5 to Ryan Shay. I was feeling pretty strong and around mile 4 and took off at a fairly good pace for a while, 9:30 or so I think. (and this would be the part where a less nice sister would mention something about smoking the other sister, but considering how nice I am, I won’t do that) I surprised myself at how well I ran after traveling hours and hours and hours the day before. I’m not known for being good traveler.
I’m also surprised that I actually helped my sister line a cooler with garbage bags, fill it with salt water and put a turkey in it. So it can sit outside and make sea-monkeys overnight. This whole cooking thing is new to me, but garbage bags and cooking aren’t normally things I associate with one another.
Yes, that whole half a mile block where you were ahead of me was some serious smokage. Do you think the townspeople noticed?
That’s a great pace, and for 9 miles!? Excellent.
NoBloPoMo ended for me on the 12th (I think) and I didn’t even realize it.
So Amy ate some dust? Serves her right.
Good for you on the run and surge. It’s crazy good how all that training can still work for you.
Us Cannuck’s put turkeys in ovens. You American’s are odd.
Brining the turkey already? I think you are moving super fast in all aspects of life – yeah – that’s it.
i hate and detest NaBlowMEPoMo, for the record. It’s not good for anyone!
but geeze, what a pace!!! you are now officially fast in my book.
Gee, you really smoked Amy in that run Susan. Was it in retaliation for misspelling your name? 9 milers are long enough to get you fit. Do more of them.
The turkey should be well and truly drowned by the end of the week.
