Yes, I know, I have NaPoBloMo failed you . . . blame it on the travel, cooking, gorging, pooping and my current stationary status, the last of which is also due to the first three mentioned items.
I cooked real food this holiday, with my real oven, all the way from scratch, it took all day, and people ate it and nobody got sick. I consider that a success. Those two cooking lessons are paying off. Maybe I should take a few more. A few more that do not teach me to make things like this wonderfully tasty brownie cake. With two sticks of butter. And a cup of heavy whipping cream. But I used splenda instead of sugar. I don’t know why I can’t lose weight.
Although, as a side note, free-range turkeys are not as tasty the ones pumped full of chemicals. Next year, chemical pumping will be a requirement when turkey purchasing.
Anyhow, back to that stationary status thing. It is ending tomorrow when I will run 15 miles in the dark. Cold. And freezing rain. I am so dedicated I amaze myself. I have a half marathon coming up on December 9th and I must be ready, I don’t want to waste the NY marathon mojo I’ve been touting about.
Nice picture of the dessert.
Good luck on the 15 miles.
Yum!
Good luck on your 15 miler.
BTW, I’ll be cheering on the runners on December 9. Not sure, but I’ll either be at the mile 20 marker or at the finish line.
Stay tuned…
Times like these I wish I didn’t blog whilst hungry and that the french bakery was close by.
But then the gym is in the other direction.
Okay Miss Heavily Basted; I commend you if you go out in that weather to do 15. The only comfort I have is in knowing your running wardrobe closet is stocked full with every conceivable weather option outfit. Choose wisely and do not overdress/heat.
that is too funny that you used splenda instead of sugar, you crack me up. Thanks for the tip about chemical turkeys, I won’t waste my time or money on free range ever.
I presume splenda is some chemicals that look and taste like sugar.
It looks good. Surely it’s good for you!
I hope the 15 miler went well.
Have fun with the 15, but don’t diss the free range turkey. They’re amazing, but you need to cook ’em like game, not like farm animals.
That looks awesome. Have a great 15.
Hope your 15 miles went well.
