Today was the Too Cold To Hold 15k/5k. I ran the 15k and the other blue thugs, Cindy (right) and Deana (left) ran the 5k. It was very very very very cold. And windy. My face hurts because it is windburned and my nose hasn’t quit running since I got home. Whine, whine, whine.
Here are my split: 5k: 30:19, 10K: 1:01:02, 15k 1:32:51. Pace: 9:59/M. I missed a PR by about 25 seconds, I’m good with it though – I felt strong and my splits were really well paced. Besides, we looked really cute in the blue hats Cindy made for us. The hats also glow in the dark because we were extra special fancy pants today.
Deana was also insisting we stop at Fat Daddy’s Burger House on the way home – but I set her straight by explaining the ways of the Spartan diet. No Fat Daddy’s allowed!

Good time!
Sounds like you had a great, but chilly, day!
Good race (and splits) Susan. You ran well. The 10k split is faster than your PB!
Good on you for resisting Fat Daddy’s. Reminds me of seeing Carl’s Fatburger ‘restaurants’ in the US – why would anyone eat a Fatburger?
Good job Susan! Wish I could have been there. Nice shirts. Great will power!
Nice job on resisting the tempatation.
Awesome splits!!
Running in the cold? Spartan diet? Gawd – you make me feel like a looooooser…
You gals are the cutest in those shirts and hats. Love ‘em!
Congratz Susan!! Great race, and Spartan power be with you!
I insisted!!! I don’t remember it that way but Ok!!!
Cool hats! At least your heads were toasty. Nice race time, how was your foot?
Sounds like you were stylin’ and profilin’ and having a great time! Beats sending a PR sometimes
PS> How cold is cold?
Blue Thugs Rule!!!
Congrats!!! Great time!!!
yeah….how cold IS cold Susan?!?! inquiring minds…
Sure sounds like Runner Susan is back, and to turn down burgers after that heroic effort is impressive indeed. I guess it’s time I joined the Spartan Army…after I finish off those soynuts.
Congrats on the 15k! Those splits look pretty even to me. Way to stay away from the Fat Daddy. I’m trying not to become one
