We had our first (and probably last) snow of the season last night. All the television stations were broadcasting their Winter Weather Alerts and many of the schools were on a 2 hour delay this morning. You never know that 1/4 inch of snow might have brought the roof down.

you gotta be kidding me. i’ve run outside in shorts in that “much” snow.
GOD i hate kansas.
Haha. That doesn’t count as snow.
If you can still see the grass, it is just a “thick frost.”
It was pretty while it lasted!
Hey, you can’t beat the novelty of the ‘first snow’ – or the sweet-awesomeness of a 2 hour school delay (if you asked my son). Living where I do, I might be inclined to snicker at your winter weather, but you can have the last laugh when it’s 82F in my neck of the woods and I am DYING from the unsurvivable heat. I guess it all evens out in the end 😀
Susan … somebody spray painted your lawn.
Florida boy
where i taught, we had 2 snow days factored in. if we got a dusting like that early, no cancellation. in march? no school! it was a gamble, but i loved it.
during my senior year, the weather peeps were predicting the storm of the century. the schools just shut down to spare the am fuss. the next day it was 80. sweet!
Our area of Arizona virtually shuts down if we get a sprinkling of the white stuff!
Laughable compared to back east of course!
But yeah, it IS pretty!
Where is your snowman??
that’s not snow.
