Leg Torture was particularly torturous this morning because of yesterday’s ten-mile run. Enormously torturous. Like, I think I might die torturous.
So, the torture workout with Cindy went something like this today – Squats: wide, regular and narrow stance x 24 reps @ 85 lbs, 5 times in a row. Sucks. Big. Time. Last week I was able to do 115 lbs, but I was tired today. Then we repeat the workout in the video below three times. We also did some bicep curls, which I’m omitting from the video because I have incredibly weenie arms, toe taps, calf-raises with weight and some stability ball hamstring work.
My goal, Internet people, is to be able to do those awful bench abs for the entire minute without resting. Next to the plate runners, the abs are the worst.
Be sure not to miss tomorrow’s episode where I abuse the PIMP from the side and the behind.
I’m trying out Vimeo to see if the quality is better, but they only allow 500MB per week, so I’ll have to save it for those extra special occasions.

much better quality.
my quads hurt just watching that.
Um…is it wrong that I like to see you crawl around the gym like that??? 😉
You looked less bunched up on the plates this time. Good job. Another good exercise with the plates is to put them under your feet in plank position and using your arms only “walk” yourself sliding the plates that are under your toes from one side of the workout room to the other. I guess that is a shoulder/arms workout more than anything for legs. Still kills…hate the plates myself.
Much stronger today Suz!
OW! I’m with Jeff on both counts.
I agree with all…you look great today. Keep it up!
it’s cute that you continue to try to kill the ball even though it didn’t die. if you use high heels, you might find it’ll pop and you can be done.
AWESOME!! I love the torture!!!!
Yes — I agree with the others that the quality is much improved. And, it appears, soon you will be too.
I wish I could do that. You wish you could do this (run 19 miles). We need to meet. in Chicago. Both able to run 26.2.
I don’t know if I could do that after a 10 mile run. geez! nice work, Susan!
Awesome Susan. I like the plates, and the lunges. I like how Cindy said your legs are going to hurt more than your abs! Those legs have potential.
Quality of the video is much better.
Love the plates. It’s a cool idea. You’re looking strong, sister.
OMG… sorry, but I’m laughing. I totally tink your trainer knows my trainer, SOMEHOW. Those damn furniture gliders…Daniel calls those “running man” I HATE them!!! My feet always fall off of them! And, 1min… I can barely do :30 so you ROCK!
