So I had one workout this week, and it was a good one – 6.5 miles in 58 minutes – that was it until today when we did the Turkey Roll. My intention was to do the 20 mile ride, but somehow cindy and I got separated and I missed the turn around and ended up doing the 35 mile ride. That’s okay, it was fun. 35 miles at 14 mph average, 15-20mph winds in 42 degree weather. AKA – Freaking COLD. Michael did the 71 mile ride and came in 4th. My hero – even if he had to get in line before we did pictures. Good for him, because everyone looks dorky in bike clothes. Why is that? I’m digging this two workouts a week thing. Why can’t I have antibiotics everyday?
See, here are Michael & I’s bikes loving each other on the back of the car. I must be delirious on drugs still.

“came in 4th”????Hmmm…there aren’t placings in cycling unless there’s a racing license involved….just sayin…
Also, A+ on the wind vest. Most versitle piece of cycling clothing EVAR (BTW – EVAR=ever X 400). Hope you enjoyed the warm weather!
Nice SIDIs too. I like to think that SIDIs are the cyclist’s version of warm Italian sex using butter and olive oil….for your feet.
…and much like us SIDI’s only get better with age.
Well, I guess he rolled across the finish line 4th in the 71 mile group. I counted.
4th place is 4th place…just saying. Great job Michael! Yea for your 35 miles…that certainly is not easy on its own never mind with wind.
I see why you like Cindy so much…she’s one of the few people that you are taller than!
I think I have your sinus infection…have to get to the doctor before all the family gets here for Thanksgiving!
A good job and 35 miles cycling by cold is verry good.

Nice ridin, roadie!
you go girl. i don’t know how to cycle in cold yet. you need to deconstruct your cold-weather cycling outfit for us–for me. and yay michael! fourth!
So did you feed Katy and Toasty Turkey Roll? I’m JEALOUS! Did you take them for a Cindy abs or track torture session? I hope so!
By the way, good match with the sleeves, head band and helmet. Shame about the shoes.
Frosty the cyclist! And yes – everyone looks like a dork in bicycle clothes – that’s what makes it such a special club.
Way to go even if some of the mileage was accidental…I know cycle clothes are terrible. If I see even a cyclist looking remotely cool than they must bad to the bone without the cycle digs.
Wow, I know I’ve been away for a while, but the last I checked, Micheal was in the ER? Now he’s knocking out 71 miles?!
