Rolling, rolling, rolling . . .

in The Dark Side

Internet People, it’s taken a week, but I think I’ve got it. This is the tail end of my 30 minutes on the rollers and for the first time, I rolled more than I fell over. Towards the end I even switched over to the big circle gear. I’m giving myself a pat on the back for that. My cat eyeball even read in the 20s most of the time. Is that awesome or what? Anyhow, is my seat still too low?

I moved the rollers into the closet because it is the only place I grab a hold on both sides. That way I can wear both my clipped shoes and not wear one running shoe and one clipped shoe. Much better I think. I’m so psyched; I think I deserve a tiara or something.

Fan-freekin-tabulous.

Can’t tell if the saddle is too low from the front, but it kind of looks like you could go up a bit more. If you do then also more the saddle forward at the same time.

Time to come out of the closet…..;)

No one deserves a Tiagra (Shimano Tiagra that is). It’s also a “big ring” not a “big circle gear” :)

Good thing your cat eyeball is keeping watch over you too.

You are a roller queen. Rollers are great and teach a lot of great things. Might have to pick up a set.

So…when is your first time trial or road race?
You sure look ready-!

Good spot to do that … I was going to suggest a doorway. What kind of trainer is that… Kreitler? What size rollers do you have on there?

Nevermind figured it out – e-motion

Definitely tiara-worthy. In fact, for a rookie, I’d say it’s awesomely awesome!

You’re the Zoe roller expert Susan!

I just LOVE that you’re riding your bike in your closet…there’s a “coming-out of the closet” joke there somewhere, but I’ve had too much wine tonight to think of it…

you are freaking AMAZING!!! i would have to first rent a storage unit to do that in my closet. Come to think of it, I should just rent a storage unit to spin. Rollers!!!! That is HARDCORE!!!!!

To me it does look like your seat is too low. Get the man to check you.

YOU ARE A GODDESS! You deserve a HEEYOOGE tiara and anything else you want. Phenomenal!

Yes – you need to raise your seat because your knees are still very bent at the bottom of your stroke. You will get more power if you raise the seat but just do it about 1 cm at a time.

What you really deserve is a professional bike fit.

You’ve really got the hang of it. You’ve inspired me to get rollers. I’ve ben putting it off for 3 years.

Yeah, I agree, your knees look quite bent.

For me I set the saddle high and then work it down to comfortable rather than working it up.
