Only partly ready for 2009. Bring on the wine.

I’m not a naturally disciplined or focused person. I’m easily distracted and frequently lose focus because my mind is all over the place. So I believe in goals, and therefore I must take part in getting them set. Maybe sometime before the year is over.

I’m going to make them simple, so far this is what I’ve got:

  • Take care of my daughter, my husband, my marriage, and my family and love them as much as possible. Listen to them and enjoy them every day.
  • Make alone time for myself everyday.
  • Take care of myself by eating well, balancing my activities and my exercise and managing my stress.
  • Say things like ‘cat eyeball’, ‘spanky pants’, ‘big circle gear’ and other Susanized cycling lingo to irritate my husband as much as possible.
  • Drink plenty of wine.
  • Not do anything stupid. Like run a marathon, for example.

I’ll be working on race goals this week and will post those soon. Suggestions are welcome.

“stupid, like run a marathon for example.” I like that.

So, “spanky pants” is a cycling term? I’ve always thought of it as something else.

I’ve got one – ride on the rollers for 30 minutes straight (no cheating like IHateToast did in her latest marathon).

Great goals, right down to the last one. You’ve got your priorities right.

Hi Susan,

Hope your holidays went well, complete with plenty of festive things to blog about on Runner Susan. I sent you an email a few weeks back about an opportunity to try and review ProWash activewear detergent. Now that the holiday rush is over, I thought I’d try you again to see if you are interested.

ProWash activewear laundry detergent is made for your high performance running clothes with “dry fit” qualities. While ordinary laundry detergents struggle to ever truly get performance activewear clothes clean, with ProWash you can quickly and easily clean and eliminate odors, bacteria and stains from your high performance workout gear. It’s truly a brilliant new product. In facet, if you take a minute to Google “ProWash (or Pro Wash) detergent” and research it on Amazon.com and running blogs, you’ll find hundreds of consumer reviews that will testify to it’s success.

Would you be willing to try a bottle of ProWash activewear detergent and post a review about it on your blog? If so, all I need is your name and mailing address and I’ll send you a full-sized container of ProWash to experience for yourself. Let me know what you think.

Thank you for your kind consideration and I look forward to hearing from you. Keep blogging and Happy ’09!

Warm regards,

Ryan
