Newtons: Are they worth a kidney?

I can’t answer that yet. Why? One, it’s been muddy and I didn’t want to get my new shoes dirty. Figure that? And two, I’ve been a lazy bum and haven’t run. Next post involves stuff like “Running with the Newtons” and “What’s up with Januaryathon?”. Until then, here are a few Newton pics to tide you over – I’m a sucker for pink shoes.

Teri January 30, 2009 at 5:21 pm

Wow. They look edible. I think they would actually coordinate with a lot of my running shirts.

Kate January 30, 2009 at 5:25 pm

Shoe porn. Nice. I prefer bike porn though.

A kidney? Mmmm, can I donate a pound of flesh instead? I have to pee too much as it is.

They’s adorable!

They match your masthead! Clever. Good advertising. They should send you a second pair for free.

They’re a bit pink to my taste. Still, they’re shoes and I wouldn’t throw them out.

LOVE THEM! I hope so much you say they’re great so I can buy some, too.

Pretty!! I joined a gym (my sister had a three month free thing for me) so I will let you know how that goes!

But what do they smell like?

Those shoes are AWESOME!

It is incredible that you turned up in so many of those Newton photos to make the shoes appear some much more attractive. Was that by design?
I do not do pink. I did not think you did either. However, I have learned that, like what you have to do on the side of the road during a race, it really doesn’t matter how you look. It’s what you do with them. Good luck on the track Monday.

There’s no mistaking you on a crowded course in those colorful creations. Whew, that’s enough alliteration for one post.

Those shoes are so pretty! Nice to know they are also comfy. Newton has great customer service, too. All good things.

they look like easter eggs…

pchieng February 2, 2009 at 5:06 pm

Wow, I’ve never seen shoes stand out so much before (except when I ran in my brother’s spikes that were apparently white underneath, but highlighted yellow)

Everything is beautiful about this shoe. The fact that the perfect shades of pink and orange are combined with just the right amount of silver makes these the shoes I have to find.

I heard Chris over at the RunRunLive podcast (http://www.runrunlive.com/) do an interview with the folks at Newton shoes a while back and I’ve wanted a pair ever since. Can’t wait for your review!
