whoo hoo! kenza must be so happy. ah, but will she let on?

i loved parent-teacher conferences when i told the parents that little ewie mcspewie was a dream and got looks from them as though i was high on crack. "our little ewie? the devil child who throws his spam and peas when he doesn't get his way?"

I am so FREEKIN' behind this week!...GAH!

As you know, DramaGirl (my daughter) is 13...and, like Kenza, is a handful. Her drama consumes a fair amount of my waking hours...

That being said, I always think that she "shows" well. I guess, all things being equal, I'd rather that I be the one who sees the "bad one" and the rest of the world sees the "good one."

BTW...I know I'm late with this, but I think you made the right call with the Facebook thing. You've seen my page, DramaGirl is one of my "friends" and I monitor, but I made her wait until she was 13 to register and MySpace is OUT OF THE QUESTION for now...

Aren't they amazing creatures?!? In response to getting Kenza interested in biking - I don't exactly recommend it, but it works...I force Hallie to do at least this one race every year and afterwards she is always glad that she did it. I did, however buy her a ridiculously nice mountain bike, and that helps her not be so frustrated with issues that go along with a low-end bike. At 13 she definitely has other interests, but I hope that she'll eventually really get into biking and want to race someday. There's money and scholarships in it for women and the fields are not ginormous like they are for the men.

Are you on FB???

Suz,
I ate cereal straight from the box in front of the TV until I was 28! Ask my beloved Joe he will tell you! I love Kenza even more now. Good luck tomorrow during the wrangling kids run! Good ride today!

Nice. BTW "One that could spend hours laying upside down on the sofa watching TV while eating cereal from the box"...uh...it's been a few years, but I'm pretty sure there's a name for that. "Normal."

:) - Enjoy!
