Monday I went to the track and it was very windy, I was very tired and my back was messed up from all the stone work we did in the yard. But, I did show up and my mile sucked: 8:20, I believe. We did 800s, 400s, 200s and 100s after that and I was still slower than my normal slow.
I fully intend on a repeat timed mile once my back is in better shape. I know full well I can do under 8:00. I just know it.

I know you can do it too!! You could try my plan, but I think that was what we were doing like 3 years ago when I lived there. You can do it!! Yes…keep us posted on the do over.
Use your bicycle next time. You’ll break 8:00 with no trouble.
