Being from a metric country, I'm not sure what 128 is, but it sounds good. Well done Susan! I think it's the 12 hours a day of low heart-rate manual activity that did it - a bit more than Cindy's sessions. Poor Cindy! Do that AND run and you'll be 119 before you know it.

By the way, I'll quote you on this one: <i>"as soon as my ass hits 125 I’m posting a picture for all the world to see me and my pasty white belly"</i>.

Good grief. Your blog hates my blog address too. :(

My original comment:

Just a test comment here, Susan.

But let me say while I'm here, that distance running made me gain weight, and I found as soon as I started training for the 5K's again, the weight is dropping down. Maybe my liver got too full of glycogen.

I kind of miss your videos too -- they always gave me at least one "fun" new exercise to mix into my routine.

21cm -- lifting *can* burn a lot of calories. it's just a matter of how you do it. I suspect the leg torture/ab torture workouts do a pretty good job -- but not like 12 hours of nearly-continuous exercise!

Dammit, someone hand me a sledgehammer right now. I need to break some rocks. (And that's fantastic news...you'll have to find more manual labor once the landscaping and hardscaping are done.)

Who knew!!??? And my yard needs tons of work. Skinnyville here I come!

Trail running will keep it off. Stick with that. Leg torture - ugh. I think the problem with lifting is that it hurts and makes you sweat and gives you nice muscles but I don't think it burns that many calories. Rock flinging is apparently the way to go.
