I hope you can do Houston next year! It's a great race, but of course I am very biased. :-)

the big debate about fun is that it's a noun and not an adjective (purists), but if it is now an adjective, then it follows that syllable rule, therefore funner works. something like that. there's debate about that, really.

when i'm better, i'm doing halfs (or are they halves?). i think you're right in finding the love there. you can do a race and still have monkey sex. marathoners can't. they might have sex after a race, but they're lying their injures arses down and making their half mary spouses do the work. that's not monkey.

1/2 Marathons are THE. BEST! (And there's no such thing as too superfluous commas, explanation points, or in my case parentheticals)...oh yeah, the 1/2 mary is long enough to be worth the effort, but not long enough to kill. I'm just starting the biking thing, but not really feeling the passion for it yet...that and those clip-in pedals scare the shiz outta me.

Centuries are fun - rolling parties for cyclists. You'll have a great time, and you can spend six hours looking at the Chef's butt. Win/win, right?

Any type of running is funner than HHH training! Just don't upset the Chef.

You're mostly Type IIb. Doesn't mean you can't run Houston 2010 though :)

You should become 1 with the bike.

Tell the chef he has a place to stay if he wants to check out Superweek this year.

You're on a roll. Why stop now? Do the half, then the ride on Monday. With wine if that helps.

ai yi yi! The HH100!! wow! I am way too chicken to do that one. From experience I would say this- neglect the running for the cycling. The longest ride I've done is the MS150 and of that the longest day was 88 miles. I was wiped out and really wished I'd spent a lot more time with my ass on the saddle prior to the ride!

All I can say is espresso totally works for you and you should consider drinking lots before your next half to set new PR. I love Vinnie the goat and I am so glad he survived and you guys made it happen. Looks like we'll both be doing a 100 miles in August. I'll be in Philly suffering on a hilly course. No doubt it'll be 100 humid degrees.
