Today I ran the Faith Run 5k with my friends at a neighboring city and I didn’t explode or catch on fire. Maybe because I didn’t wear my “Heathen” shirt. I’m nice like that.
It was hot, humid, humid, humid and a lot of fun. I even got to see an old co-worker, Bill, who I hadn’t seen in ages. How fun is that. I tuckered out after finishing mile 1 in 7:51. Official 5k time: 28:06. I’ll take it, but I know I can go faster.
L-R: Cindy, Leigh Ann, Deana, RS, and Bill
I’m pretty sure I’d die before I crossed the finish line if I attempted something called the “Faith” run.
You ARE living dangerously…aren’t you?
I dream of running a 5K in under 30…Congrats!
Excellent time—-you rocked mile 1.
Nice one Susan. I’ve got you pegged for a sub-25 when you get a cool, dry, dry, dry, not sam hell humid day.
What happen to you? Are you sucking it in? You look skinny (I mean lean)!
that was a GREAT time!!! Good job!
RUNNER Susan (emphasis added since this is/was a running blog) has a way of always looking good, be it stylin’, running or writing.
Susan, Good time and you can faster.
Rinus.
Ahh, running in Texas. Wait until the fun days of August. I remember one summer where the low temperature was like 91 degrees. It was 99 at midnight. Good luck!
A 7:51 first mile?! Wow!! All of that yard work and spinning your wheels has kept you in great shape.
Rinus says you can faster. and i believe him!
Great. Just when I break the 9 minute barrier you have to break the 8 minute one! STOP THE MADNESS!!!
you are FAST! it’s official!
dang it. Sorry, try this one:

What is this “running” you speak of?

Good job! I envy your finish time.
Congrats, you have a sub 25 min in you!
