The petite SUV will suit the matchbox. And the matchbox will suit the purged shoe collection. Another plus – Napa is close to SF, and SF has direct flights to Australia!

And don’t forget, you’ll pay a king’s ransom in taxes on that Napa matchbox and cute little station wagon (which also costs you more to fuel up in CA). And if you pay too much in taxes, instead of getting a check for a refund, the state will send you an IOU that says we’re good for it in October. Maybe.

I agree 100% with this:

It gets hot and stays hot 24 hours a day in Texas. And when it isn’t hot, it’s negative zero.
It’s true; I don’t make these things up.

I hate running in the heat and I hate running in the cold as well! And yes, I can picture you loving Napa, and yes, a summer home is great! – but not year-round. You would die in a little teeny tiny house. I am from the Bay Area (Berkeley), and have been in TX for 11 years. No WAY would I move back to California – Too Expensive/Overpriced. Too Many Earthquakes (never thought twice about them until I lived through the 1989 earthquake). Too Much Traffic. Too Many Lines Everywhere. Too Many Cold Nights (it’s always cold at night, even if it’s 90 degrees during the day). And People Look At You Like You’re Crazy If You Ask For Bacon Bits On Your Baked Potato.

and I have a box to open. Your purge = my bloat and I’m so in need of bloating. I have a matchbox house in California and I need to build a new closet – a Runner Susan closet. Poor me.

Your Indiana vacation makes me feel lazy and unadventurous. I have heavy maintenance work to do and I just look at it and think “I can’t do THAT!” but now I don’t think I can say that any more.

Oh Susan. You do make me smile, and laugh, and be oh so glad that I live in California — where it is 100+ degrees today. And, I ran at lunch because that’s when I have time to do it. I can only imagine how hot it is where you are.
