Oh sweet Internet People, I’ve got some catching up to do – and let me start with a wine review because there has been no shortage of my wine drinking these past few weeks. We discovered The Oracle on our Napa trip this past summer. It is no surprise that it’s inspired by the ancient Greek Oracle, the center of prophecy and wisdom. The flavor is very deep and Boudreaux-ish. I’d add a little dancing-butterfly eye roll tasting comparison, but that description might be confusing for the unwisdomy . . . so let me just say – I love it. $90.00 online.
56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 14% Merlot, 7% Malbec, 6% Petit Verdot
Alcohol 14.2%
See ya soon.
mmmm.. I love the blends. Blends are the best.
I love your review BUT – we need a picture of your new hair-do – stat!
glad to see you are back!
It’s Friday (now)….and you’re talking booze. I likey.
Welcome back! I just read a book about the science of shopping and it included a small section on wine labels. Can’t say anything about the taste, but these winemakers definitely know their target audience by that design.
For $90, there better be $75 worth of quarters falling into my glass when I pour it.
For $90, I better lose 10 pounds for each glass I drink.
For $90, the wine makers need to hand deliver it to my house and massage my feet when I drink it.
For $90, it better come with fairies and pixie dust that magically cleans my house.
For $90 you can enter and run a top quality marathon.
For $90 you can get a hair makeover plus pictures.
For $90 you better get a good buzz on.
It does all those things and more. It even comes with scissors that cut out the country songs.
Ninety bucks! I can get two cartons of Boags’ Premium for that!
Try drinking it when Rowdy’s nearby and it might cancel out his breath.
We love anything from Miner. In fact, when we were there, we got a private wine cave tour and had a tasting from the barrels. We belong to the Oracle wine club and it’s one of the best wines ever. Oracle was named after someone who was one of the original guys that started up Oracle Software. Go figure. Anyway… it’s a devine wine and I think it’s worth every penny.
