Tentative Race Plans for 2010

Since I was a wimp in 09 I’m gonna make up for it in 2010. Here’s what I got so far and if you’ve done any of these races and want to chime in anything about the course, I’m all ears:

  • 1.30.10: The Texas Half Marathon
  • 2.27.10: Cowtown Half Marathon
  • 3.14.10: RNR Half Marathon Dallas
  • 3.28.10: A2A Full Marathon
  • 4.25.10: OKC Memorial Full Marathon
  • 5.23.10: Texas Man Olympic Tri
  • 5.2.10: Cross Timbers 100k Bike
  • 6.5.10: Tulsa Tough 50k Bike
  • 6.6.10: Tulsa Tough 50k Bike
  • 7.18.10: Vineman Half Ironman
  • 8.15.10: The Hottest Half
  • 9.25.10: Redman Half Ironman
  • 10.24.10: Lafayette Inaugural Half
  • 10.25.10: Muddy Buddy
  • 11.7.10: Fort Worth Half Marathon

None of these are set is stone yet (Re: Jiggle Butt DNS due to 12 degree temperature). I think I need to sprinkle in a 5k or two and I might need something for August and December. And to appease the Sister Runner Amy Gods, I also need to schedule in an Indiana Race or two somewhere along the lines. Look at me go, I am a racing fool.

10/24/10 – Lafayette’s 1st Half Marathon. (Conflicts with the Muddy Buddy, I guess.)

Give me another good one, Doug.

You should add in a couple of time trials.

Nice challenging tentative schedule.

Are you planning at doing all of those? WOW!

Bold ambition. Don’t let your lazy self off the hook except when your body tells you what to do (or not do).

Come to Illinois (Champaign) and run the Illinois marathon (or half). 2nd year. expecting 10,000, flat course.

Two full marathons a month apart! Yikes! You are ambitious.

where’s the gold coast marathon series?

Ewe the Dewd January 22, 2010 at 3:04 am

Yeah, Gold Coast is a fast, flat course ;) Looks like a good list to me — you can never race too much — well, unless it’s a half marathon every weekend.

Vineman HIM is going to be an awesome race. Exciting!

WOW! I’m only doing Mardi Gras (full) on 2/28, then probably the Big D Half. I entered the lottery for NYC, so we’ll see what happens there. You, on the other hand, will be a running machine in 2010!

I’ve missed you Runner Susan! OKC marathon was one of my very favorites. I ran it in I think 2004 – it was a smaller marathon, beautiful course – not a very challenging course – and an overall feel good marathon. The fan support was amazing and the police officers and volunteers were incredibly friendly. I would highly recommend this one.
