Our big hunk-a-lunk of loving Donkey is taking a nap – he still favors sleeping on his non-cancerous side. His shaved square is so silly looking, but we love him still. The report from the vet says the cancer was well removed and he has an 85% chance of a full recovery. He goes in for a check up soon and I’ll give you the full report then.

When I told the EPA officials about Donkey’s cancer and about how many dogs in your neighborhood have cancer, their heads all turned to look straight at me and their jaws dropped.
That’s awesome prognosis. Yay!
The dogs with cancer could be a warning, like a canary in a coal mine.
Good luck Donkey!
good luck, Donkey! Susan, I remember how scary it felt when my Shannon had a cancerous tumor removed and the relief when I found out that the prognosis was good. Age is catching up with her, but the cancer has not returned. Best wishes.

I hope you don’t mind my “dropping” in– I just wanted to see if I could get some background. How many dogs have been diagnosed with cancer?
