If my years of running experience have taught my anything, it is this – if when needed, walking is always a better option than pooping your pants. If my years of blogging have taught me anything, it’s that I really suck at punctuation. So if I ever use a superfluous semicolon or poop my pants, please forgive me.
I walked most of my run yesterday due to the fact that my intestines were coiling. I also did a pool torture workout and then rode my bike. I don’t think all that counts towards a 15 mile run, but it was about three hours of exercise. Still, I felt guilty. And in my guiltiest guilty state I ran into Shopper Susan and took her to the store I always feel guilty for shopping . . . why do they call it White House Black Market? It sounds like a place for white slavery or people trafficing. Anyways, they were having 30% off clearance on all sale items. And I have to shamefully admit this, but I normally don’t do sale items because those are items no one else wants. But not here, not at this inappropriately named store. Here I found many items…
Now, if I can just find a way to make that fifteen non-functional pounds disappear, I’d be happy.
I’m totally with you on the “ugh” runs, the non-functional pounds and the walking. You got some great stuff! I totally love the sundress; looks cute on you! 🙂
Great sundress. $20 is a steal! Good job…I need to go shopping…
Quick Question: have you tried thedailyplate.com?
I have been trying it for a week, just to try to get rid of those afore-mentioned pounds. It’s interesting, anyway. Like I said, just a week, so we’ll see. Just thought I’d pass it along, in case you were interested.
Okay, *seriously*…that dress looks JUST like the shirt I’m wearing today! And the shirt is very reminiscent of one I bought at Ann Taylor 2 weeks ago (except mine is dark pink and brown). You have fabulous taste. 😉
And yes, I agree that WH/BM has really good sales. Not picked-over-stuff-that’s-ugly-and-that’s-why-no-one-wants-it-sales like at Macy’s.
After a bad run, there’s nothing like shopping to make you feel better. I’m guilty of it too, but I tell myself don’t argue with what works, you know?
Shopper-Susan rocks…
way f*ckin cute! I feel so inadequate since I basically live in spandex and hats these days. I need some cute clothes 🙂
OMG is that your closet? Love it. And the new stuff you got. Sometimes you need to chase away the bad-run blues!
Were they out of the Michella Obama dress? LOVE that one! Your sundress it great tho! what bargains!
Lovely stuff! I want that shirt and that dress and I want a body style that allows me to wear them!!!
Love all of it, including the store. I wish we had one here.
SWEET deal! I love bargin shopping myself. I find a lot of good buys at H&M.
That freaking dress is awesome. You could do worse than shop your way out of distress:)
Okay. I suck at proper punctuation when blogging as well. Those are some awesome bargains! I loved the black and white top, as well as the dress! Very nice!
I like the dress. Very right for you. Can you run in it?
There’s proper punctuation when blogging? I just use … when all else fails (yes, and I’m an English teacher…go figure!)
Great shopping story. I’ll have to check out WHBM. I usually just walk on by; now I know. (See correct use of a semi-colon…I think).
Looks good to me. Even took my mind off pants poop. That’s gotta be worth something.
Excellent shopping, I am very inspired and also confused by this strange White Slavery place where you buy your clothes.
i have never been to WHBM (what ho! a bowel movement! that’s from shakespeare). i do get their email notices. i just like to look. so crisp.
and pooping is so in right now.
I forgave Katy for superfluous pooptuation, so I’ll forgive you.
Well shopped! My fav is fun print.
I always say that shopping will cure just about anything. I’m sure world peace could be attained as well. Nice finds.
Oh, I love that dress!
